Position Summary As a Sales Associate, you will act as the face of the company, delivering outstanding customer service and building strong relationships. You will sell fine products to restaurants, caterers, hotels, and retail establishments.
Responsibilities
Generate revenue through development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing accounts.
Compile prospect lists from networking, directories, trade shows, and other sources.
Travel throughout assigned territory to secure orders from existing and prospective customers.
Present products using samples or catalogs that highlight key features and benefits.
Quote prices and credit terms, prepare contracts for orders.
Provide delivery estimates, monitor production and delivery schedules, and collect payments on time.
Maintain detailed records of transactions, expense reports, and customer data.
Collaborate with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature updated.
Track stock levels to align product availability with demand.
Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with purchasing contracts.
Qualifications and Attributes
1–2 years of experience in restaurant sales, food sales, professional catering sales, or as a Chef.
High energy, enthusiasm, strong teamwork, and a self‑starter attitude.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives.
Comfort with data‑driven decision making and monitoring progress.
College degree desired but not required.
Motivated to take responsibility and achieve key objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Live within a commutable distance to the assigned geographic sales area.
Reliable transportation.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
