SKILLS REQUIRED Primary (Must-Have)
Core Modern Data Stack: Deep, expert-level hands‑on experience with Snowflake and DBT (Data Build Tool).
Engineering Leadership: Minimum of 3+ years acting as a Lead Data Engineer or Data Architect, leading technical teams and setting development standards.
Advanced Snowflake Expertise: Proven knowledge of virtual warehouses, time travel, micro‑partitioning, and query performance optimization for massive datasets.
Advanced DBT Practices: Strong experience with project structuring, modular modeling, custom tests, documentation, and version control integration.
Data Ingestion: Expert-level proficiency designing and operating automated ELT/ETL ingestion pipelines.
Data Warehousing Foundations: Solid grasp of core warehousing concepts, including Star Schemas, Data Vault, and scalable dimensional modeling.
Secondary (Good to Have)
Fivetran Integration: Hands‑on experience building out Fivetran-based ingestion pipelines, connectors, and scheduling workflows.
Industry Context: Prior data engineering experience working within the Manufacturing sector.
Cloud Ecosystems: Familiarity with foundational cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) regarding identity management, storage, and networking layers.
POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an Elite Lead Data Engineer / Data Architect with 12 to 16 years of progressive experience to design and scale secure, high-performance cloud data platforms. This hybrid leadership role focuses on defining development standards, optimizing production pipelines, and mentoring engineering teams within a fast-paced environment. Serving as a technical architect, you will transform raw transactional data into curated, resilient, and business-ready data assets, directly enabling analytics capability across a global organization.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Architect robust cloud data landscapes utilizing Snowflake, DBT, and Fivetran, ensuring highly scalable, secure, and easily maintainable reporting platforms.
Standardize organizational data engineering patterns, including strict naming conventions, layering strategies, and documentation templates to ensure ecosystem sustainability.
Implement modular, reusable DBT data models that streamline raw datasets into curated schemas optimized for flexible self‑service consumption.
Fine‑tune Snowflake performance by strategic clustering, optimized storage configuration, and query design patterns that balance speed with compute cost efficiency.
Lead the deployment automation of the modern data stack using continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines and rigorous version control workflows.
Formulate data quality controls, automated validation testing, and monitoring metrics across ingestion and transformation layers to proactively lower downstream incident rates.
Act as a technical mentor and advisor to engineering squads, reviewing solution designs, resolving complex bottleneck issues, and driving the adoption of architectural best practices.
