Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Finance
    • Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
    • Prepare and manage financial statements and reports
    • Oversee audits, tax filings, and compliance (U.S. + India)
    • Support investor updates and board materials
  • Employee Benefits & HR Support
    • Manage compensation and benefits programs (U.S. + India)
    • Build scalable HR processes (onboarding, performance reviews, L&D)
    • Shape talent acquisition strategy with local teams
    • Foster culture and employee engagement
  • Team Management & Growth
    • Lead and collaborate with finance & HR team (India-based)
    • Identify future U.S. support roles as the company scales
    • Promote collaboration and accountability across functions
  • Office Administration
    • Oversee day-to-day office operations and vendor relationships
    • Act as point of contact for external service providers

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Core Qualifications
    • 610 years of experience in a Controller or full-charge bookkeeping role, with direct responsibility for:
      • Accounts receivable and payable
      • Financial statement preparation
      • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis (FP&A)
      • Regulatory compliance
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline
    • CPA designation preferred
    • In Person at Schenectady, NY HQ Strongly Preferred
    • Prior experience in a startup or high-growth company, with a fast-paced, evolving environment
    • Strong HR experience, particularly in managing or supporting distributed/global teams
    • Experience with CRMs, accounting software and general workflow automation
