Role Overview
Micron Technology is a world leader in memory and storage solutions. We are seeking a JEDEC Member of Technical Staff (MTS) Hardware Lead to own and manage our DRAM memory module standards function. Responsibilities
Own and manage Micron’s DRAM module standards function within JEDEC committees, task groups, and technical forums, with accountability for strategy, priorities, and outcomes. Set technical direction and make high‑level decisions on module architecture, electrical and mechanical requirements, timing, signal integrity, compliance, and interoperability positions. Lead implementation through multi‑functional engineering teams by aligning partners, advising technical contributions, and ensuring coordinated delivery of standards proposals and responses. Drive the translation of industry standards into internal architecture frameworks, design guidance, and business decisions that support product and technology roadmaps. Influence external and internal partners to advance Micron’s strategic interests, build alignment across organizations, and represent the company with credibility in highly visible technical settings. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Significant experience in hardware development, system architecture, validation, or standards leadership for DRAM modules or high‑speed memory subsystems. Demonstrated ability to manage a crucial technical function with a high degree of autonomy, including strategic ownership, decision‑making authority, and accountability for outcomes. Experience leading execution through others, including multi‑functional teams, external partners, or distributed technical contributors, rather than solely performing day‑to‑day tactical work. Strong working knowledge of JEDEC standards, memory interface technologies, and the process of translating standards into business and engineering direction. Excellent technical communication, influence, and partner‑alignment skills across organizational boundaries. Preferred Qualifications
Direct participation and demonstrated leadership in JEDEC or other industry standards organizations. Experience with DDR5, DDR6, RDIMM, LRDIMM, MRDIMM, CAMM, or similar technologies. Proven success leading multi‑functional or cross‑company technical initiatives with broad organizational impact. Experience influencing architecture frameworks, design methodologies, or roadmap decisions across multiple teams. Familiarity with signal integrity, timing analysis, interoperability, and compliance methodologies in support of strategic technical direction. Benefits
Micron benefits include medical, dental, and vision plans, income protection, paid family leave, a robust paid time‑off program, and paid holidays. For more details, see the Benefits Guide on micron.com/careers/benefits. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
Micron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability, protected veteran status, gender identity or any other factor protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
