Convert company-provided leads into sales.
Maintain a network of customers from company-provided leads.
Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
Communicate with customers and leads to understand their needs and suggest suitable products and services.
Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any post‑sale issues.
Use SalesForce or an applicable CRM system daily.
Attend daily/weekly/monthly calls, training, call blocks, and floor time at the office or home.
Report daily, weekly, and monthly sales and appointments to the Sales Manager.
Comply with industry compliance throughout the sales process.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification/License
Appropriate Funeral Director License in specific states only.
Complete PAA Curriculum Certification from Dignity University within the first 30 days of employment.
Experience
2–5 years of business‑to‑consumer, inside home/remote sales experience (preferred but not required).
1–2 years of industry experience (preferred but not required).
3–5 years of transferable experience.

Strong telephone, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Strong “one‑call/visit close” ability.
Ability to multi‑task, set priorities, and manage appointments.
Experience with in‑home and/or seminar‑based sales preferred.
Proficient computer skills required; experience with tablets preferred.

Excellent customer service skills.
Conveys information clearly and concisely in written and spoken communication.
Resolves problems and provides timely solutions to customers.
Time‑management and organizational skills.
Entry‑level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Reliable transportation.
Own a cellphone.
Work Conditions Work Environment
Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions.
Limited local and/or multi‑location travel.
Travel to customers’ homes and local businesses.
Business casual attire required when in contact with customers.

Frequent, continuous standing periods.
Sitting continuously for many hours per day.
May require climbing stairs frequently.
Physical Demands
Manual dexterity required for paperwork, calculators, computers, iPads, and phone usage.
Move, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
Drive to and from appointments.
Work Hours
Outside sales position may require varied work hours depending on customer needs.
Travel locally with distance varying depending on the market.
