The position of Stage Design Director assists in designing and constructing stage sets for dramatic and musical productions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The employee will be required to perform any other position‑related duties requested by the Principal. Train selected students in stage design, construction and tool safety. Develop a schedule for students for set painting and construction. Meet with the director of the production to coordinate ideas, a time line for completion of sets and a coordinated schedule for rehearsals. Supervise the construction of stage sets for musical and dramatic productions. Assist in preparing the budget for stage design needs. Be responsible for the acquisition of materials and the supervision of stage crew in the building during set construction, rehearsals or performances. Train selected students regarding the responsibilities and tasks of moving and storing set designs and props during practices and during the production. Coordinates and supervises the deconstruction and storage of all sets and props in the week following the production.
