Senior Manager, Development Data Analytics The Senior Manager, Development Data Analytics is a senior‑level individual contributor responsible for shaping how data drives decision‑making across the renewable energy development organization. The role owns the analytical view of the development pipeline, delivers executive‑level reporting and dashboards, and serves as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership. The position establishes data standards and governance practices, leads cross‑functional analytics initiatives, and champions the adoption of AI and emerging analytics technologies to advance the organization’s data culture and business outcomes.
Role Responsibilities
Owns the analytical view of the development pipeline by assessing portfolio health, forecasting performance against business objectives, and proactively identifying risks across the project lifecycle, enabling leadership to make data‑informed decisions with confidence.
Builds and maintains executive‑level Power BI dashboards by designing complex data models, writing advanced DAX measures, and creating intuitive visualizations that drive decisions at every level of the organization, from project teams to the C‑suite.
Serves as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership by translating complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations that directly influence business strategy and real operational outcomes across the development organization.
Establishes and champions data standards and governance practices across the development organization by defining data ownership, documentation requirements, and quality controls, thereby reducing redundancy and improving data accessibility for all stakeholders.
Works cross‑functionally across business units to unlock the value of data residing outside the core Salesforce platform by identifying integration opportunities, evaluating analytical use cases, and building bridges between disparate data sources to create a more complete view of the business.
Leverages and leads the adoption of AI tools and emerging analytics technologies by evaluating new capabilities, piloting practical innovations, and coaching team members on how to integrate these tools into day‑to‑day workflows to improve productivity and analytical depth.
Defines how the development organization measures success by designing KPI frameworks, establishing reporting cadences, and shaping data culture from the ground up, ensuring that performance measurement is consistent, meaningful, and aligned to business objectives.
Communicates complex analytical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences by preparing executive presentations, written summaries, and live briefings that convey data‑driven insights with clarity and narrative structure appropriate for senior and C‑suite stakeholders.
Evaluates and improves data processes by identifying inefficiencies, redundancies, and gaps in existing workflows, then designing and implementing process improvements that increase data quality, reduce manual effort, and enable more reliable and timely reporting.
Partners with development teams to understand business context and project‑level data needs by conducting discovery sessions, translating operational questions into analytical requirements, and delivering insights that reflect a deep understanding of how renewable energy development pipelines function and what drives project success or failure.
Job Requirements and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; advanced degree a plus.
Minimum 10 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or strategy, with meaningful exposure to renewable energy development (solar, wind, storage, or related).
Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions at a senior or executive level through data‑driven insights.
Hands‑on experience with Salesforce as a data source and familiarity with cross‑platform data integration challenges.
Experience developing or contributing to data governance frameworks and process improvement initiatives strongly preferred.
Advanced Power BI skills, including complex data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design for executive audiences.
Strong business acumen with a working understanding of how development pipelines function and what leaders need to make confident decisions.
Excellent communication and data storytelling skills; equally comfortable in technical discussions and executive presentations.
Early adopter mindset with curiosity about AI, eagerness to experiment with new tools, and ability to separate signal from hype.
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships.
Demonstrated desire to learn about the company and the renewables space.
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams.
Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables.
Ability to multi‑task, while working independently and as part of a team.
Motivated self‑starter, goal‑oriented, and strong problem‑solving abilities.
Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds.

This position is an office‑based role with some travel and visits to other RWE Americas office and field locations.
Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time.
Pay Range The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois or California is $144,000 - $200,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S. locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education and work experience, training and certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
