The Role:
As Technical Sales Manager, you will take a hands on role in driving sales and supporting customers in the UK and Ireland. You will be actively involved in key accounts, distributor support and technical sales activities, while also leading the UK sales team.
You will be based in Nuneaton, working closely with a compact and committed UK team of 9 colleagues. You will directly manage 2 Area Sales Managers and 1 Service Engineer. Together with the Office Manager, you will form the Management Team of Thermobile UK and play a key role in shaping the future of the organisation.
Operational and administrative responsibilities will sit with the Office Manager, allowing you to focus on sales leadership, customer engagement and market growth.
You will work closely with Thermobile UK team and with engineering, R&D and management colleagues in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Actively drive sales growth in the UK and Ireland
2. Manage and develop relationships with distributors, key accounts and OEM partners.
3. Provide technical sales support, including product selection, application advice and problem solving on site.
4. Lead, coach and support 2 Area Sales Managers and 1 Service Engineer.
5. Identify new business opportunities and convert into sustainable sales.
6. Prepare and negotiate quotations, tenders and long term agreements.
7.. Support product launches, demonstrations, commissioning and customer training.
8. Act as the key link between customers and internal teams such as engineering, R&D and production.
9. Represent Thermobile at Trade Shows, exhibitions and customer meetings.
10. Contribute to sales forecasting, budgeting and UK business strategy as a member of the Management Team
