Our client, a well-established engineering business, is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design, strong 3D CAD capabilities, and a practical understanding of engineering calculations and manufacturing processes.

Senior Design Engineer
• Design and develop valves, hydraulic products, and mechanical assemblies from concept through to production • Produce detailed engineering drawings and 3D CAD models in line with BS8888 standards • Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and design records • Carry out engineering calculations including pressure and flow calculations using MathCAD templates and hand calculations where required • Support the industrialisation of products, ensuring designs are optimised for manufacture and assembly • Work closely with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure robust product delivery • Modify and improve existing products to enhance performan...
