Associate Regional Manager
Location: Monroe, Louisiana Department: Sales Reports To: Sales Director Employment Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Travel: Approximately 30%
Position Overview A growing industrial services and manufacturing organization is seeking an Associate Regional Manager to support regional sales operations, customer relationships, and project execution throughout assigned territories. This role serves as a critical liaison between customers, field sales representatives, engineering/estimating teams, and operations to ensure a seamless process from initial inquiry through project completion. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical aptitude, customer-facing experience, project coordination skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Support
* Develop a strong understanding of the company's products, services, and operational capabilities. * Serve as a primary point of contact for regional sales managers, independent representatives, customers, and internal teams. * Provide day-to-day support to sales personnel and assist with customer inquiries, project planning, and proposal development. * Follow up on active quotations and proposals to support business development efforts. * Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned markets and territories. * Participate in targeted marketing initiatives focused on key industries and customer segments.
Proposal & Quotation Management
* Receive, review, and coordinate customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs). * Work closely with estimating and product management teams to develop accurate and timely proposals. * Ensure customer requirements, project specifications, and delivery expectations are clearly understood and documented. * Gather market and competitive intelligence to assist in pricing strategy and proposal development. * Deliver comprehensive proposals to customers within required timelines.
Order Management & Project Coordination
* Review and process customer purchase orders. * Coordinate sales order entry and ensure customer requirements are accurately documented. * Monitor open orders and project schedules to help ensure timely delivery of products and services. * Coordinate customer site visits, audits, inspections, equipment evaluations, and project reviews. * Participate in planning meetings related to customer outages, maintenance projects, and service opportunities.
Reporting & Business Planning
* Review sales performance reports and pipeline activity with regional sales leadership. * Assist with annual sales planning, forecasting, and budget development. * Support ongoing territory management and strategic growth initiatives. * Participate in regularly scheduled sales meetings and cross-functional planning sessions.
Qualifications Required
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. * Valid driver's license. * Ability to travel approximately 30%.
Preferred
* Experience in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, construction, or technical sales environments. * Project management experience within industrial or engineering-related industries. * Engineering degree or technical educational background preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
* Combination of office, manufacturing, and customer-site environments. * Ability to access industrial facilities, including stairs, ladders, elevated work areas, and confined spaces when required. * Exposure to varying environmental conditions including heat, cold, noise, vibration, dust, fumes, and industrial equipment. * Ability to stand, walk, climb, reach, bend, kneel, sit, and communicate effectively throughout the workday.
