ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic networking issues
Provide technical support via multiple channels
Deploy and maintain endpoint devices
Support Microsoft 365 tools
Assist with A/V setup and support
Maintain campus technology environments
Track service requests in the IT service management system
Provide user training and support
Collaborate with team members and student workers
Participate in on-call rotation
SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & SKILLS Required Qualifications
Knowledge of Windows and macOS
Strong customer service and communication skills
Technical troubleshooting ability
Ability to support non-technical users
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in IT or related field
Help desk or technical support experience
Experience with Microsoft 365
Experience with end-user devices and peripherals
Basic networking knowledge
Familiarity with endpoint management tools
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day;
No or very limited exposure to physical risk;
Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Occasional evenings or weekends required.
Some travel between campus locations required.
