PCG is seeking a highly motivated and dependable Child Care Supervisor with an interest in public service who can work in our El Cajon, CA Stage 1 Child Care Services operation. The Supervisor will oversee a unit within the CalWORKs project team. This supervisor will be responsible for overseeing child care staff, working with families and staff of diverse backgrounds, determining childcare team needs, entering appropriate information into CalSAWS, internal databases, continuously monitoring childcare cases and databases to ensure accuracy and support with other responsibilities as needed to support the team and project as a whole.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Case Managers and Program Assistants that work directly to support the Child Care team with CalWORKs.
• Ensure that services and outcomes are accurately tracked and reported timely.
• Request and compile required reports.
• Implement best practices, create SOPs and continuously assess for process improvements; ensure employees are equipped with the necessary training and tools to be successful in their roles.
• Lead team through organizational change and transitions.
• Train and lead team to ensure proper work performance and accuracy in reporting.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with partners including CalWORKs participants, County staff, child care providers, and Alternative Payment agencies.
• Provide monthly reporting statistics to supervisor for designated area of responsibility.
• Ensure regular quality control checks relative to data and system functionality are performed of, CalSAWS, the child care database and KinderTrack.
• Responsible for ensuring that caseloads are managed appropriately performing regular quality reviews. Data inconsistencies or issues are brought to the attention of the child care specialist, program assistant and program manager timely.
• Provide coaching, training and support to staff.
• Other responsibilities required to support the departmental needs.

• Ability to use various computer systems, preferably CalSAWs and KinderTrack, although not required.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with community partners and providers.
• Ability to partner with and motivate clients from a diverse range of backgrounds.
• Ability to maintain a record keeping and follow-up system.
• Ability to work independently, requiring minimal supervision and on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in meeting deadlines and adhering to strict standards

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 6 years' experience is required, Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Office Setting
• Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
• Ability to travel up to 20% of time

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
