Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Data Analyst (PhD). The laboratory of Aravinda Chakravarti is seeking an experienced bioinformatics programmer and genomics analyst to join our genetics analysis team. This position plays a key role in leading our large-scale case-control and family data analysis of ongoing studies of complex genetic disorders, specifically autism and cardiovascular disease. Responsibilities include exome and genome analysis of a large (60k+) autism-associated family cohort as well as analysis of functional genomics assays associated with hypertension.
Job Responsibilities
Designs, initiates, and executes research analyses critical to each project's mission.
Designs, develops and tests software necessary for analyses.
Develops research methods relevant to software development.
Identifies and resolves technical problems.
Ensures timely reporting of progress and impediments for timely completion of research projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications PhD required.

Salary Range NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $70,727.81-$106,180.20 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
