Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team to meet or exceed location sales quotas. Ensure Sales Counselors follow training manuals and company policies. Provide initial and ongoing sales instruction so all counselors meet or exceed customer needs. Act as the primary reference for Sales Counselors on aftercare, prospecting, product knowledge, sales presentations, closing skills, pricing, terms, paperwork, compliance, and customer service delivery. Develop marketing programs that complement the geography, demographics, ethnicity, or religions of the local community. Analyze competitor pricing and adjust strategies accordingly. Plan and participate in community events to generate prospects and raise location awareness. Review all pre‑need and at‑need cemetery contracts for compliance with HMIS and applicable laws. Approve discounts offered to customers. Prepare compliance reports that demonstrate adherence to financial controls. Maintain all marketing materials, training manuals, sales equipment, and supplies. Ensure sales programs, incentives, awards, and presentations are budgeted, approved, and compliant with company policies. Keep sales rooms and offices clean and orderly to provide a professional atmosphere. Ensure all counselors follow the Code of Conduct and hold proper licenses. Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred. 3‑5 years of sales management experience required; sales counseling and supervisory experience preferred. Experience presenting, training, coaching, and motivating salespeople and sales forces is a plus. Valid state/province driver’s license with good driving record. Insurance license as required by state/province law and each state board. Working knowledge of Windows‑based PC environment and MS Office applications. Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems is a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Willingness to work beyond standard business hours when necessary. Ability to set challenging yet achievable goals for employees. Compensation $89,800 to $149,500 in base salary plus earnings potential.
