Senior Project Manager - PIDS

The Senior Project Manager - PIDS role with our Randstad client in Washington, DC, is an integral part of the Project Management Office (PMO), responsible for overseeing a variety of technology projects across the corporation, including departments like Marketing and Train Operations. This position requires a strong task master capable of coordinating site surveys, site installations, and managing large-scale hardware rollouts. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex, multi-departmental projects involving various external vendors. While SAFe experience is not required, a PMP certification is preferred. The role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards by applying formal project management methodologies and tools.

• Oversee and manage large, complex technology projects across multiple departments, ensuring successful implementation and rollout of all hardware and software.
• Coordinate site surveys and installations, effectively managing the rollout of large-scale hardware deployments.
• Utilize formal project management processes, including scheduling, risk and issue management, and change control.
• Maintain project budgets, tracking expenditures, and reporting on financial performance.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring departmental interests are represented and protected.
• Apply strong analytical skills to solve complex project-related issues.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, tailoring messages appropriately for different audiences.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Utilize project management tools like MS Project, Primavera, and others to track project progress and performance.
