Position Summary Performs intermediate design work by producing B.O.M’s (Bill of Materials) and drawings for non-standard trailer orders. This position requires close supervision from the Design Supervisor.
Responsibilities Responsible for completing design, layout, and drafting of production orders for certain groups of basic semi tank trailers and assemblies. Proficient in AUTODESK Inventor software. Complete the structure of B.O.M’s so that all parts and assemblies are located in the correct manufacturing areas. Possess knowledge of ASME and DOT codes and understand that these codes govern construction, and that variations of design must be reviewed by an Engineer.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Considerable knowledge of design/layout drafting.
MRP (Material Requirement Planning) concepts.
Working knowledge of AUTODESK Inventor.
Minimum Qualifications Two years of vocational drafting or equivalent experience with CAD, with a minimum of six months of CAD experience.
Salary Range
Pay: $67,000 USD to $75,000 USD
Location Minnesota Trailer Operations, 12810 CR-17, Holdingford, MN 56340, USA.
