This is a hybrid position. Candidates must reside within 250 miles of Washington, DC.
Duties and Responsibilities Network Operations and Maintenance
Perform day-to-day activities required to manage data services across the SEC enterprise network.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices, including Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
Support network change requests, including VLAN configurations, port assignments, and access control list modifications.
Participate in network code upgrades and firmware management following SEC change control processes.
Monitoring and Incident Response
Monitor network performance using enterprise tools (SolarWinds, Spectrum, Datadog) and respond to alerts and degradations.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, and VPN environments for SEC headquarters and regional offices.
Document network incidents, root causes, and resolutions in ServiceNow.
Participate in incident bridges and coordinate with other infrastructure teams during network outages.
Design Support and Documentation
Assist senior engineers with network design activities, including capacity planning and architecture documentation.
Maintain accurate network diagrams, device inventories, and configuration documentation.
Support Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM administration and maintenance activities.
Contribute to network SOPs, runbooks, and operational documentation.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of related experience in enterprise network operations and management.
Demonstrated experience in enterprise network operations and management.
Hands‑on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
Experience supporting network change requests, including VLANs, port assignments, and ACLs.
Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Spectrum, or Datadog.
Experience troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity issues.
U.S. Citizenship is required; dual citizenship is not permitted.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM administration.
Familiarity with capacity planning and network architecture documentation.
Relevant Cisco or networking certifications (e.g., CCNA or CCNP).
