** Summary of Primary Functions ** This position is responsible for the sale of the Cemen Tech equipment in Central and South Florida. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing partnerships with current and potential clients to grow Dobbs Equipment Cemen Tech equipment market share in this territory. This position will help develop and execute the sales plan, support and collaborate closely with Dobbs sales team as to ensure a professional and highly productive experience is achieved while delivering Cemen Tech products for demonstration and sale. This position will often work directly with the OEM in the commissioning of new equipment or in the resolution of a mechanical problem with support from the Machine Specialist. This role is also responsible for ensuring that the after-sale product support needs of our customers are met. This position may require more than 50% travel within the territory and occasional travel outside the territory for training.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Sell and promote the Cemen Tech product line in assigned territory
Grow and develop customer relationships and loyalty to increase market share
Prospecting and cold calling to increase customer base and market presence
Quote and negotiate prices, credit terms, prepare contracts and record and close orders
Provide on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections and technical support
Maintain a contact management type database and call log for designated territory
Manage market awareness and provide lost sales reports
Provide status report to sales manager as to achievement of goals and objectives
Meet or exceed company targets for units, dollars, and gross profit
Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and special deals
Demonstrate leadership in all aspects of the Sales Department and the organization
Ensure customer satisfaction. Work with the sales team to know the customer’s expectations both today and the future.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge of Territory/Customers/Alliance Partners, finance programs and products (performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others)
Broad based business, sales, CRM and marketing skills (performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others)
Knowledge of heavy machinery dealer business practices (has an expert understanding of the principles, can apply the information to complex situations, solve complex problems, conduct research/break new ground, develop new applications, and provide expert support for other practitioners)
Willing to travel at least 50% of the time with overnight stays required at times
Qualifications
Valid driver's license
Individual must be proficient in Driving Sustainable Results, Focusing on Customers, Making Sound Decisions, Influencing Effectively, and Building Relationships
Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four‑year college or a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record.
Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and customers
Strong problem‑solving skills.
Must be able to self‑manage/self‑motivate.
PC literate, proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook required.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Quick learner with the ability to think out of the box.
Extensive driving required; overnight travel required
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee occasionally required to sit.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision.
