Responsibilities
Customize, configure, install, maintain, and upgrade complex servers, hardware, and software utilizing AIX/Linux and AIX/Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
Design, develop, and implement strategies for system server operations, production, upgrades, and maintenance.
Configure, deploy, and support domains, security measures, system backups, and servers in AIX/Linux, High Availability (HA), and UNIX environments.
Administer and configure server/system dependent file systems such as JFS, VxFS, ext2, and PseudoFX.
Design and create functional virtual server partitions for Virtual I/O client and environment.
Engage in capacity planning and system fine tuning to improve performance.
Troubleshoot and provide technical support for production issues in AIX/RHEL.
Monitor, evaluate, and address any issues or defects in system and server performance and in backup recovery/operations.
May require travel or relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the US.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience.
