Leading a high-performing engineering squad, the full-time Senior Software Engineering Manager will ensure data reliability and oversee the development of complex datasets for clinical applications while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
Lead and mentor a small team of software engineers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of excellence in data quality
Architect and implement a comprehensive testing suite within DBT, enforcing data quality gates in the CI/CD and ETL pipeline
Perform deep data analysis and profiling using SQL and Python to evaluate completeness and resolve structural inconsistencies
Required qualifications
Expertise in DBT, SQL, and Python within the modern data engineering stack
Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring a small team in a fast-paced environment
Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Elementary and Grafana
Strong background in healthcare and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data
Ability to perform data profiling and correlation analysis to address complex data integrity issues
