Emphasis is on cloud‑native architecture, infrastructure‑as‑code, and modern software practices to drive future cloud technologies.
Core responsibilities include:
Design and build secure, scalable platform capabilities across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code modules using Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
Enforce compliance via policy‑as‑code solutions (OPA, Sentinel, Azure Policy).
Design reusable platform templates (VPC/VNet, Kubernetes clusters, IAM roles, serverless environments).
Collaborate with teams to implement self‑service capabilities such as service catalogs and deployment pipelines.
Resolve platform issues and maintain secure, compliant, and reliable environments.
Prioritize automation, platform stability, and a superior developer experience.
Communicate platform architectures and decisions to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and contribute to strategic platform direction.
What You Need Minimum Job Requirements
Extensive experience deploying and managing cloud environments in AWS and GCP (Azure exposure a plus).
Build, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform/Terragrunt.
Strong knowledge of cloud platform engineering: VPC/VNet architectures, IAM policies, load balancing, autoscaling, and secure service configurations.
Operate and support production cloud environments, including monitoring, alert response, and root cause analysis.
Work directly with engineers to implement infrastructure required for applications.
Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues across networking, compute, containers, and IAM.
Experience with containerized environments, Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), and container networking.
Additional Requirements for Solutions Architect 4
Leadership on architecture, design, implementation, and optimization of highly complex, secure cloud platform solutions across GCP, Azure, and AWS.
Drive technical direction for GCP, Azure, and AWS services, establishing reusable patterns, hardened baselines, and platform standards.
Senior‑level technical leadership on large cloud initiatives; mentor cloud engineers and collaborate across cybersecurity, networking, and mission stakeholders.
Lead development and advancement of enterprise cloud platform capabilities, including identity and access management, zero‑trust architecture, observability, and cost optimization.
Education/Experience
Solutions Architect 3: Bachelor’s degree and 8 years related experience or equivalent; advanced vendor or professional certification desirable.
Solutions Architect 4: Bachelor’s degree and 12 years related experience or equivalent; advanced vendor or professional certification desirable.
Desired Qualifications
Implement and manage cloud observability solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Design and build cloud landing zones with account/project structure, networking, IAM, guardrails, and baseline services.
Develop infrastructure automation and platform tooling, including scripting with Python, PowerShell, or similar.
Strong knowledge of cloud networking principles in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Experience with AI/ML services in AWS, GCP, Azure (e.g., SageMaker, Vertex AI).
