Premium Pay increase of.50/hour for all eligible employees working any hours on Saturday-Sunday, and weekdays before 6 am, or after 7 pm.
Position OverviewPerform and oversee work in the areas of:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations of the Grocery Department and Liquor Store
- Meet sales, gross, and labor goals
- Department scheduling and time card approval
- Staff recruitment, orientation, and training
- Workplace safety
- Basic maintenance and repairs
Oversee customer service and the customer experience
Direct and coordinate department production, pricing, and sales
Review performance data and assess goal achievement to determine areas needing improvement
Establish and implement departmental policies and goals
Communicating issues with subordinates and superiors
Interview and oversee the training of new employees
Work with other managers in planning and directing promotional activities
Oversee workplace safety in the Grocery Department
RequirementsPrevious Department Manager, Supervisor, or equivalent experience
Ability to pass a background check as described in the Safe Hiring Plan
Intermediate knowledge and experience with computer systems
Experience using office suites in a business setting, and/or equivalent education
Comfort performing various monetary transactions
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with employees, customers, and vendors
Strong organizational skills

Personnel and Human Resources Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment and selection.
