What You'll Do:

  • Assist with daily care + life skills development.
  • Support cooking, light housekeeping, and transportation.
  • Participate in community-based activities.
  • Administer medications (with certification).

  • Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification within 6 months.
  • CRMA certification (if not already CNA-M).

Qualifications:

  • Perform various basic care activities related to services essential to caring for the personal needs and comfort of patient.
  • Dresses, grooms, bathes, feeds, takes and records vital signs of patients as needed.
  • Assists in toileting, oral care, nail care, assists patients in wheelchairs, transports, reports patient changes, basic cleaning duties.
  • Requires certification as a Nurse Assistant; functions may not exceed Standards of Practice as accorded by certification.
  • Provide quality care in a residential setting.
  • Takes and records temperature, pulse, and respiration rate as needed.
  • Gives medication (if CNA-M) as directed by Physician or Nurse and makes notation of amount and time given.
  • Accompany patients on community outings and assist as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
