Overview Hardware & Software Test Engineer. We are seeking a mid-to-senior level engineer with experience across both hardware and software domains. This role works closely with hardware infrastructure, embedded devices, and enterprise software systems, contributing to the quality and reliability of our Buildings and Power-focused software platform. The engineer supports local device lab activities and infrastructure, ensuring robust communication, accurate data acquisition, and effective visualization between the software platform and intelligent devices.
Responsibilities
Define test cases based on acceptance criteria and drive efficient automation.
Configure software and IT infrastructure, and develop using test automation frameworks.
Define validation requirements with a strong customer‑centric perspective.
Support local lab environment: collaborate with global IT teams, manage devices, and perform test setup and device configuration.
Interface directly with Product Owners and engineering teams to understand requirements.
Develop end‑to‑end user test cases based on business requirements.
Detail all test use cases as Acceptance criteria.
Set up systems equipment from reference test or solution architectures.
Perform manual validation on customer use cases.
Act as main point of contact for local lab administration, organizing access or changes to lab infrastructure with support from Lab Engineering and global IT.
Automate manual use cases using JavaScript or Python with Selenium, FLA UI, Playwright and PyTest.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Hands‑on experience leading test activities within the electrical/power domain with industry.
Experience with automation frameworks and scripting.
Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC).
Understanding of Agile methodologies.
Strong knowledge of software, hardware, and communication architectures.
Ability to perform software/IT maintenance and troubleshoot complex system issues.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with customers and technical colleagues.
Basic understanding of OT & IT networking.
Basic understanding of communication protocols (Modbus, BACNet, OPC DA/UA, IEC 61850, SNMP).
Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Competitive pay range of USD 101,600 to USD 152,400 per year for U.S. based positions, including base pay and short‑term incentives.
