Job Overview Leidos is a Fortune 500 company dedicated to solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges through science and technology. The Junior Desktop Support Specialist serves as part of a dynamic desktop and IT support team for Media and Publications with the IRS. The team provides support for approximately 150 employees in Washington, DC and another 80 employees in New Carrollton, MD, focusing on the IRS Common Operating Environment based on Microsoft Windows and "above baseline applications." Responsibilities include desktop and laptop deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as support for printers, projectors, smartboard whiteboards, blackberries, and scanners.
Responsibilities • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops and laptops. • Provide high‑level desktop support in an enterprise environment. • Support printers, projectors, smartboard whiteboards, blackberries, and scanners. • Manage and resolve tickets using a ticketing system such as KISAM or ServiceNow.

Software and hardware support
Use of a ticketing system (e.g., KISAM, ServiceNow)
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with IRS processes
Active Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) or ability to obtain an MBI
Location & Work Hours Onsite in Washington, DC and New Carrollton, MD. Expected onsite 5 days a week.
Background Investigation Ability to obtain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) is required for this position.
