Project Manager

The Sr. Project Manager will work on multiple programs/systems simultaneously for the Amtrak Digital Technology (DT) Safety & Security Team.

The Sr. Project Manager will interact with all members of the project team including architects, system analysts, program managers, developers, quality control leadership and S&S Senior Leadership.

The Sr. Project Manager will be expected to:

• Support S&S program managers with the execution of safety and security related projects
• Understand the business needs of Amtrak Safety, Corporate Security and Amtrak Police (APD)
• Work with S&S teams to manage and extract functional business requirements from business units with functional/technical teams
• Lead team meetings with functional business subject matter experts, and technical delivery teams
• Oversee, manage, and document business, functional and technical requirements for S&S project teams; this is inclusive but not limited to Requirements Specification, Use Cases, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
• Support the development of detailed process documentation documenting current and future state business and technical processes
• Become proficient with PMLP delivery and associated artifacts/documentation
• Provide testing surge support with development teams as needed or required
• Manage project budgets/forecasting/financials as needed and adhere to Amtrak PMLP standards
