Business Intelligence Engineer, FinOps FP&A About the role: Amazon's Global Finance Services (GFS) team seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to support the Amazon Music finance team. The role involves working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. The Engineer will:
Delivery of standardized performance metrics for global customers (Vendors) and stakeholders (Amazon Music finance) providing operational bandwidth to finance teams.
Partner with the existing BI leader in executing the defined roadmap of projects.
Provide ad‑hoc support to Amazon Music finance and business services for SQL report creation, modification, and optimization.
Debug report issues, unblock workflows, and communicate with other teams and stakeholders by providing regular status updates.
Tools used include:
SQL (Oracle and Redshift)
ETL tools (internal)
Excel
Data visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI/QuickSight)
Report scheduling tools (internal)
Scripting language (Python, Java, R)
Qualifications and experience:
2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools.
Experience with industry analytics visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (t‑test, Chi‑squared).
Experience with scripting language (Python, Java, or R).
Master's degree or advanced technical degree.
Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design.
Experience with statistical analysis and correlation analysis.
