The Quality Manager serves as liaison between the leadership and the client. As the Quality Manager, your duties would include:
- Manages the monitoring, measurement, and review of various operations and internal processes
- Supports process owners in the identification of root causes, corrections, and corrective actions; conducts research, thorough analysis, and makes appropriate recommendations
- Reports to program manager and senior leadership on performance metrics (e.g., results of quality audits) and provides solution-based recommendations for corrective actions
- Maintains and expands knowledge of relevant quality standards, protocols, best practices, regulations, and trends
- Effectively documents, maps-out and illustrates work processes, procedures, and output measures for various stakeholders
- Develops systematic procedures for assessing compliance with performance objectives and Accepted Quality Levels
- Leads or materially contributes in meetings with staff, customer, and other stakeholders
- Maintains effective records and conducts consistent follow up actions with self and team
- Performs or assists with inspections and internal audits of all site operations
- Assists Program Manager and Site Manager in managing and directing site quality staff
- Serves as a corporate champion for continuous improvement and leads Quality Councils
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance under the Department of Homeland Security from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent
- A minimum 5 years of relevant experience in working with large quality control operations
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and monitoring internal procedures for adherence to goals, regulations, and policies
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized and self-sufficient professionally and administratively
- Comfortable working independently or within a small support team
- Experience overseeing and maintaining large-scale audit programs
- Strong oral and written communication skills; prompt replying to copious email daily
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, enterprise computer systems, and cloud-based tools
- Position will require overnight travel up to 15% to various government locations to include the West Coast
Preferred Qualifications Experience:
- Knowledge of ISO and CMMI protocols
- Certifications in project management, six sigma, lean or other quality system will be considered a strength
- Master's Degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 15 lbs. or more consistently
- Ability to sit and operate computers and other technologies for long periods of time
- Ability to perform tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
