Technical Release Manager-DevOps - Sunnyvale, CA (3x/ week onsite)
Pay Rate - $60-65/Hr
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Technical Release Manager (DevOps) to join our engineering team. In this role, candidate will own the end-to-end release lifecycle - from planning and coordination to deployment and post-release validation - while championing DevOps best practices that enable fast, reliable, and high-quality software delivery. Candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, QA, product, and infrastructure teams to streamline release pipelines, reduce friction, and continuously improve our delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities Own the Release Lifecycle - Plan, schedule, coordinate, and manage end-to-end software releases across multiple teams and environments. CI/CD Pipeline Management - Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment workflows. Release Governance - Establish and enforce release policies, branching strategies, versioning standards, and change management processes. Infrastructure & Deployment - Manage deployments to AWS cloud environments and oversee Apache Web Server configurations to ensure high availability and performance. Incident & Problem Management - Identify, triage, and resolve release blockers; conduct root-cause analysis and lead retrospectives to drive continuous improvement. Scripting & Automation - Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python to reduce manual toil across release and deployment workflows. Release portal / internal tooling - Should have good understanding of HTML/CSS/Javascript • Configuration & Integration - Work with JSON-based configuration files, APIs, and integration payloads as part of deployment orchestration. Data & Reporting - Query and analyze release metrics and operational data using SQL to generate insights and drive data-informed decisions. Collaboration - Partner with development, QA, security, and operations teams to align release readiness criteria and acceptance standards. Documentation - Maintain clear, accessible release documentation, runbooks, and post-mortem reports.
