Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Analytics, Analytics, Data Science, or a closely related field (strongly preferred)
Experience designing and supporting data ecosystems that prioritize data integrity, usability, and stakeholder value
Demonstrated experience working with data collection platforms (e.g., Qualtrics) and downstream reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
Experience with data preparation and analysis tools (e.g., R, Python), with emphasis on analytical problem-solving, data interpretation, and decision support
Experience translating business processes into data structures, workflows, and reporting solutions
Experience working with external vendors, application providers, or development teams to refine system functionality and user experience
Demonstrated ability to use data to support business decisions, program evaluation, or operational strategy
Adept at dashboard design, automated reporting, and data storytelling
Ability to translate organizational policy to actionable workflows to handle sensitive or restricted data environments
Experience working with higher education and/or constituent relationship management
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Ability to listen effectively and clearly communicate technical issues both orally and in writing.
Possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize.
Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, and techniques.
Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, including collection, validation, transformation, and reporting.
Strong analytical thinking with a focus on identifying patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
Ability to design and deliver clear, actionable data visualizations and dashboards.
Ability to analyze, identify critical elements and alternatives, and organize existing resources and new information to implement the most appropriate solutions.
Understanding of user interface design and data collection workflows to enhance data quality.
Command presence to facilitate discussions with project partners focused on conflict resolution to meet deadlines.
Ability to frame ambiguous business problems into structured analytical approaches and actionable insights.
Adept at communicating effectively verbally and in writing with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Physical Demands
Sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods.
Occasional lifting and transport of field survey and AV equipment, computers, very large monitors, etc. - some of which can be very heavy and/or bulky.
Driving as needed to perform job duties.
Duties / Responsibilities Data Ecosystem Strategy & Design 40% of time
Design and maintain data system infrastructure to support IDM programs and service projects.
Enforce policy compliance during the collection, analysis, storage, and operational use of sensitive or restricted data.
Collaborate with external application providers and developers to refine system functionality, data structures, and user interfaces.
Develop and document data ecosystem processes to ensure program execution continuity.
Identify gaps in current systems and propose scalable, sustainable improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement 15% of time
Meet with internal stakeholders to understand program goals, reporting needs, and operational challenges.
Travel to meetings and other stakeholder engagement events; occasional overnight travel outside the primary office location.
Translate stakeholder needs into clear functional requirements and data solutions.
Facilitate alignment between business needs and technical implementation across internal teams and external partners.
Support decision-making by ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, relevant, and timely data.
Process Documentation & Improvement 20% of time
Gather and document clear, detailed, and concise user requirements for existing and newly developed information systems, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders for review and clarification.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and refine requirements for data systems by utilizing project management skills to develop solutions based on needs.
Conduct thorough investigations and propose recommended solutions, encompassing detailed requirements, prototypes, workflow procedures, and rules.
Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, data quality, and user experience.
Data Preparation, Automation, & Reporting 20% of time
Develop and maintain automated reporting pipelines and dashboards.
Prepare and transform data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency across sources.
Design reports and visualizations that communicate insights effectively.
Miscellaneous 5% of time
Maintain awareness of emerging tools and best practices in analytics and data systems design.
Participate in IDM initiatives and projects as needed.
Perform any and all other duties as necessary and as assigned by supervisor.
