Job Type: Onsite / Part-Time / Internship (15-25 hours per week)
Work: 2-3 days/week, 10AM-5PM with 1 hour lunch
Location: Long Island City, New York
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $22.00
Position Summary The Junior Sales Coordinator will support the Sales team by assisting with lead generation, prospect research, customer outreach, and CRM management activities. This role is designed to provide students and recent graduates with hands‑on experience in sales development, business development, customer engagement, and the logistics and transportation industry.
The candidate will receive training and mentorship while gaining practical exposure to prospecting strategies, outbound communications, sales technology platforms, and business development processes. This role is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing careers in sales, business development, logistics, supply chain management, or international transportation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct prospect research to identify potential customers and business opportunities.
Utilize Apollo and other sales tools to build and maintain prospect databases.
Perform outbound outreach activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, and follow-up communications.
Qualify prospective leads and schedule introductory meetings for the Sales team.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the company’s CRM system.
Assist with market research and competitive analysis projects.
Support sales campaigns, lead generation initiatives, and customer engagement efforts.
Prepare prospect lists, sales reports, and other business development documentation.
Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and mentorship opportunities.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related disciplines.
No prior professional experience required.
Previous internship, customer service, sales, leadership, or campus organization experience is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable speaking with prospective customers by telephone and email.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and receive coaching.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Interest in sales, business development, logistics, or transportation industries.
