About the Role The Field Sales Representative will drive revenue growth by acquiring new fleet customers and expanding existing accounts. This field‑based role focuses on prospecting, building relationships with fleet operators, and closing new business opportunities across the Dallas‑Fort Worth market. The position reports to the Director of Sales and works closely with operations and customer success teams to ensure strong customer engagement and service delivery. The role requires 60-75% of the time in the field meeting with prospects and customers, with the remaining time spent working from the AFS office in Saginaw.
Key Responsibilities
Drive aggressive sales growth by acquiring new customers, expanding existing accounts, and recovering inactive business
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through disciplined prospecting, customer visits, and calls
Support onboarding of new customers and ensure a smooth transition to operations and service teams
Develop existing accounts through consistent relationship management and service engagement
Identify and pursue opportunities to recover inactive or lost accounts
Provide weekly reports summarizing sales activities, pipeline progress, and business wins or losses
Maintain complete and timely documentation of all sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system, ensuring records are accurate and fully up to date at all times
Represent AFS professionally within the local fleet and transportation community
Experience
10+ years of successful sales or business development experience
Proven ability to generate new business and build strong customer relationships
Experience in fleet services, transportation, logistics, automotive service, heavy equipment, or related industries preferred
Experience working in a field-based sales environment

Proficiency using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
Strong communication and customer engagement skills
Ability to develop quotes and proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close deals
Location & Requirements
Base Salary $50-$70K commensurate with experience
Competitive commission and performance-based bonus

USD $50,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
