Lead with Purpose, Unlock Your Team’s Passion at LPL. We are seeking a Vice President II of Software Engineering to lead the Investor Experience technology team. This role will collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to create world‑class investor‑facing platforms and drive AI‑enablement, engineering excellence, and open, innovative culture. Responsibilities
Lead a high‑performing engineering team, fostering an empowering environment to deliver high‑quality solutions. Drive and support AI enablement, adopting AI‑assisted software development practices (e.g., code generation, automated testing, developer copilots). Partner with agile team leaders to share learning, mitigate technical dependencies, plan capacity, and establish practice consistency. Oversee daily development quality, collaborate with solution architecture to establish patterns, and progress teams toward scalable platforms. Manage stakeholder relationships, including collaboration with internal departments, third‑party vendors, and senior leadership. Identify and mitigate risks related to cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. Contribute to strategic planning, identifying business opportunities and emerging technology risks. Champion continuous improvement, implementing process changes that enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. Requirements
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 15+ years of full‑stack development experience designing interactive web applications, microservices, public cloud solutions, REST APIs, Kafka messaging, and vendor API integration. 15+ years of experience with .NET, Angular, JavaScript, C#, SQL Server, AWS (container and serverless), Git, Visual Studio, and front‑end technologies. 10+ years in a Manager/Tech Lead capacity, guiding team development toward project delivery and application support. 5+ years as a Solution Architect, designing and implementing complex systems. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to plan, prioritize and execute tasks. Experience with Agile principles and the Agile Manifesto. Preferred Qualifications
AWS certifications. Experience in the financial‑industry, particularly wealth & asset management. Strong executive presence and excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical solutions to non‑technical audiences and work with senior leaders. Experience integrating AI capabilities into user platforms, establishing responsible AI standards, and leveraging machine learning for workflow modernization. Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $192,095.00 – $320,227.00 (actual base salary varies). Competitive total rewards package, including 401(k) matching, health benefits, employee stock options, paid time off, volunteer time off, and more. Equal Opportunity Employer
