The right candidate must be able to operate independently, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, maintain compliance with DoD security requirements, and support network operations where uptime and performance directly impact operational readiness.
This role is best suited for someone who has real hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, STIGs, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
Key Responsibilities Network Infrastructure Management
Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise-level LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
Configure, administer, and sustain Cisco routers, switches, and firewall platforms.
Support network operations in classified and unclassified environments.
Administer firewall rule sets, access control lists, VLANs, network segmentation, and related network security configurations.
Monitor network performance and diagnose complex connectivity, routing, switching, firewall, and infrastructure issues.

Support lifecycle management of network hardware, servers, endpoint systems, and related infrastructure.
Windows Server & Systems Support
Manage and maintain Windows Server environments.
Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related enterprise services.
Provide Tier II and Tier III network infrastructure support.
Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership and accountability.
Maintain accurate network documentation, configuration records, diagrams, and change management logs.
DoD Compliance & Cybersecurity Support
Ensure systems remain compliant with STIG requirements, DISA standards, and applicable DoD security policies.
Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel on vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and risk reduction.
Support RMF compliance, authorization activities, and security documentation.
Assist with maintaining infrastructure readiness for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
Support cybersecurity and operations teams in maintaining secure, mission-ready network environments.
Mission Support & Documentation
Support network infrastructure for a mission-critical Air Force operational environment.
Maintain organized records, configuration files, change logs, and technical documentation.
Communicate clearly with technical teams, leadership, cybersecurity personnel, and mission stakeholders.
