Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
Build, refine, and optimize lakehouse tables and transformations needed for reporting.
Ensure semantic models follow best practices for performance, usability, and maintainability.
Review existing dashboards and code to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to development patterns.
Collaborate with data engineers to align BI models with backend data structures.
Identify data-quality issues early in the pipeline and escalated appropriately.
Contribute to designing robust and scalable data models supporting evolving business needs.
Optimize semantic data models to improve report performance and responsiveness.
Design and manage complex semantic models involving very large datasets, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and maintainability.
Work with Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, and version-controlled BI artifacts.
Participate in CI/CD pipelines for BI deployments, ensuring smooth release readiness and documentation.
Support automated validation, packaging, and deployment of BI assets where applicable.
Work directly with the BI Product Owner, Lead developer, Data engineer, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements before development begins.
Actively participate in Scrum or Kanban workflows, ensuring work items are captured, documented, and updated in Jira.
Communicate proactively—raising blockers, risks, and design concerns early.
Contribute to iterative delivery, focusing on incremental value rather than large one‑off deliveries.
Conduct code reviews and enforce development best practices to ensure solution quality and consistency.
Ensure flexibility to work rotational shifts, including morning and afternoon schedules, as per business requirements.
Qualifications
Mid-to-Senior level, capable of working independently, challenging assumptions when needed, and turning business requirements into well‑structured technical deliverables.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern data architectural principles.
Strong grasp of UX principles in BI design and delivery.
Hands on experience with Microsoft Power BI, Fabric, DBT, and proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, DAX, Python, and Power Query.
Active exploration and application of AI‑assisted capabilities to improve productivity in BI solution development and delivery.
Self‑motivated and proactive with a passion for exploring and mastering new BI technologies.

PL‑300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst
DP‑600: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer
DP‑605: Develop Reports with Power BI
