Customer Services
Ability to communicate clearly and calmly with callers.
Maintain communication between medical staff, administrative staff, and/or patient families.
Clinical Services
Manage nurse-directed patient telephone calls requesting health care services.
Evaluate and assess patient’s health care needs based on signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols, guidelines, and standing orders.
Obtain appropriate input and direction from the provider as needed to determine best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care needs.
Accurately document symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided, and patient/caller response.
Coordinate and schedule same-day appointments on the providers’ schedules.
Manage prescription refills per protocol.
Provide patient education (e.g., chronic disease, preventative, and family health).
Ensure that pertinent medical information is forwarded to proper departments as needed for continuity of patient care.
Environmental Services
Contribute to the overall cleanliness and appearance of personal work space and department.
Required Experience
Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Work Experience: Previous experience in medical practice is preferred.
Required License/ Certification/ Registration
Current Kentucky or Multi-State License.
Basic Life Support Certification.
