Overview INODE is a leading information technology (IT) professional services Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, business intelligence, and data science services for federal, state and local organizations. We are seeking a Wireless Network Engineer II to lead wireless and network operations for our USAF customer. The Wireless Network Engineer assists in the day-to-day wireless and network needs of the customer as well as provides a high level of technical expertise in wired and wireless network principles. The Wireless Network Engineer II will work directly with our Project Manager and end users to identify, resolve, and adopt new technologies to modernize infrastructure, streamline operations, and meet SLA’s. This is a remote/hybrid position.
Job Requirements
Must be a US Citizen
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance
Must be able to work an 8hr day shift Monday-Friday
Review and evaluate network design solutions
Participate in full lifecycle development of network solutions
Design and deploy government LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including core data center & site firewalls, routers, core & site switches, and other network hardware
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configurations/diagrams, network mapping, processes, and service records
Meet the needs of the end users
Communicate issues quickly and concisely to management
Ability to function autonomously as well as lead and motivate others as needed
Ability to interpret and analyze issues, implement solutions, and reflect on lessons learned
Ability to simulate user problems or difficulties
Ability to gather requirements from varying locations
Ability to create blueprints, schematics, other layout design documents
Willingness to keep up to date on technology trends specific to network and telecommunication management
Implement or improve processes that simplify, reduce time, and/or increase accuracy, effectiveness, or security of the systems
Education and Experience
Associates or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or 5+ years of IT experience in varying levels of enterprise IT services
4+ years of experience in network management
2+ years in wireless network management
Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level II Certification or equivalent required (CompTIA SecurityX certification or higher)
Possesses an empathetic and problem‑solving attitude
Ability to develop and present technical documentation to non‑technical clients
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and stakeholders
Knowledge of security vulnerabilities desired

Final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, certifications and/or experience. Hiring at the maximum range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued compensation growth.
