Job Summary This position offers an exceptional opportunity to architect and implement cutting‑edge big data solutions that transform how organizations leverage their data assets. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain comprehensive big data solutions across various functional and process content areas
Design and implement stable, flexible, and high-performing data platforms using modern technologies
Assemble and transform large, complex data sets including text, time series, and imagery into analysis-ready formats
Evaluate and select fit-for-purpose database technologies and tools for specific data challenges
Apply data management best practices to ensure data quality, security, and governance
Optimize data pipelines to reduce lead time from data collection to insight generation
Monitor and troubleshoot data platform performance to maintain system reliabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
Document data architectures, processes, and technical specifications
Stay current with emerging big data technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
Skills
Advanced proficiency in big data technologies and frameworks
Strong expertise in database design and management across multiple platforms
Experience with data pipeline development and ETL processes
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering
Knowledge of distributed computing and parallel processing concepts
Understanding of data warehousing and data lake architectures
Ability to work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities
Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Project management and organizational abilities
Experience
4-6 years of hands‑on experience in big data development and implementation
Proven track record of building and maintaining large-scale data platforms
Experience working with diverse data types including text, time series, and imagery data
Demonstrated success in reducing data processing lead times and improving system performance
