We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ohio. This full-time position offers an annual salary of USD 180,000. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and pipelines. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data accessibility and integrity across the organization. Responsibilities Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines to support data integration and analytics needs. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Develop and maintain data models and architectures that facilitate efficient data processing and storage. Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and monitoring processes. Optimize existing data pipelines and architectures for performance and cost-efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. Keep abreast of emerging big data technologies and industry trends to enhance our data infrastructure continuously. Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to the development of best practices within the team. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Extensive experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Nice-to-Haves Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and techniques. Experience with real-time data processing and stream analytics. Certification in big data technologies or cloud platforms.
