Project Manager

A reputable general contractor is seeking a Project Manager to lead ground-up multifamily construction projects across the Vancouver, WA area. The company has a strong pipeline of multifamily work and focuses on delivering quality projects in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, with a focus on schedule, budget, subcontractor coordination, and overall project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Preconstruction

  • Support estimating, budgeting, and bid coordination for multifamily projects
  • Participate in site walks with clients and subcontractors
  • Develop project schedules with field teams
  • Lead subcontractor buyout, scope review, and contract execution
  • Maintain procurement logs for materials and long-lead items

Construction

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Lead OAC meetings and provide clear project updates
  • Work closely with Superintendents on schedule and field coordination
  • Manage change orders and scope adjustments
  • Track budgets, cost forecasts, and project financials
  • Oversee subcontractor billing and ensure timely payments
  • Maintain updated drawings and ensure proper document distribution
  • Monitor project progress and resolve issues proactively
  • Manage project closeout including punch lists, warranties, and O&M manuals
Requirements
  • 25+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor
  • Ground-up multifamily construction experience required
  • Experience managing multiple projects or phases
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Willing to relocate to Vancouver, WA
