1Childcare Director

This position has responsibilities as a Childcare Director for Boys and Girls Clubs of Elko including day-to-day operations. The director provides leadership and training to teachers implementing services for all children utilizing screening and assessment tools. The director will supervise teachers and substitutes at 2 locations.

• Meet State Child Care Licensing Requirements
• Complete education and training required by State Licensing
• Prepare required reports (grant renewal documents, monthly & quarterly reports, etc.)
• Ensure classroom coverage
• Attend and contribute at the management meetings
• Conduct teacher observations and provide feedback
• Conduct new hire 90 day and annual evaluations on teaching staff
• Provide on-the-job training for staff and substitute teachers through modeling and providing direct feedback
• Provide adequate supervision of staff including appropriate disciplinary action when required
• Conduct teacher observations

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood

• Administrative experience
