Medical Assistant Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (no weekends, nights, or major holidays) Full-time (40/hour per week) Pay range is from $17-18 per hour with increases available based on performance Locations available: Knoxville & Clinton, TN, In-Person River Valley Health is a comprehensive Federally Qualified Health Center caring for over 70,000 patients across 13 counties in Tennessee. We provide integrated primary medical, behavioral, dental, optometry, and clinical pharmacy services through our nationally recognized integrated model of care. We are committed to serving our mission to care for all, regardless of ability to pay, through innovation, excellence, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities:
Escorts patients throughout facility, interviews patients to obtain appropriate medical information/history, and measures vital signs. Obtains samples and performs inhouse CLIA approved testing upon medical provider's request when needed. Administers routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests. Reviews provider's (Physician, NP, PA) orders, lab requests, or any other follow-up needs with patient, including the scheduling of any additional tests. Obtains pre-certifications from insurance providers for special procedures when needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant. Experience in medical office, clinic, or hospital setting is preferred.
