Position Summary The Senior Systems Administrator at DZYNE Technologies is a versatile, proactive IT professional responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure. This role provides end‑to‑end system administration, production operations support, and daily interaction with end users, engineering teams, and program stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong generalist experience across Windows and Linux systems, enterprise networking, Azure Government/GCC High, and secure production environments typical of the Defense Industrial Base, contributing significantly to building and maintaining scalable, secure, and compliant systems that support DZYNE’s mission‑critical programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Extensive customer service experience as this role will regularly interact with users and engineering teams
Team player able to effectively interact cross‑functionally with a variety of individuals with different competencies and backgrounds
Self‑propelled work ethic with ability to stay on task and focused with minimal supervision
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Willingness to work on a flexible work schedule and travel up to 25%
Strong attention to detail and organization
Technical problem solving, project management, dependability, initiative, and professionalism are of the utmost importance
Extensive knowledge of Palo Alto and Cisco Meraki network equipment is a requirement
Experience in the design and deployment of complex local and cloud networks is a requirement
Networking knowledge covering LAN/ VLAN/ WAN technologies
Microsoft 365 Administration experience and Azure network design experience required
Experience with network monitoring tools is beneficial
Required Skills and Qualifications
7+ years in an enterprise role with a strong knowledge of network design and security with complex Microsoft Azure environments
7+ years in an enterprise role with a strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems, networking design/protocols, and virtualization in highly regulated industries
5+ years in an enterprise role with a strong knowledge of VMware and other virtualization technologies
5+ years in an enterprise role with a strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
5+ years’ experience with enterprise‑grade network storage solutions
Strong knowledge of system security (operating systems, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.)
Resourcefulness and problem‑solving aptitude
Excellent communication skills
Able to work both within a team environment and independently
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Professional certifications such as the Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP Enterprise/Datacenter, VMware Certified Technical Associate/Professional
Experience administering GPU‑accelerated compute environments (NVIDIA/CUDA), including containerized AI/ML training and inference stacks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Docker/Singularity) and managing multi‑node or cluster‑based workflows
Experience with DevSecOps and supporting engineering teams
10+ years of experience managing a complex network infrastructure in a Defense Industrial Base organization
Education While a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, it is not required. Those with equivalent professional experience or relevant technical certifications are encouraged to apply.
Clearance Level Required Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance, as required for the role.
Export Control / ITAR Requirement This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations.
Travel Required Up to 10%
Working Conditions The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment with little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.
Physical Demands
Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.
Work Authorization Requirement Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.
Salary $125,000 - $150,000 per year. Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high‑demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
