Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our team in Washington D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to our clients' desktop and laptop systems. You will work closely with our clients to identify and resolve hardware and software issues, as well as provide guidance and training on how to effectively use their technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients' desktop and laptop systems
IT Stock and stock room management
Manage incident and service request queues to ensure SLAs are met
Deploy IT assets to office-based users and coordinate courier/shipping for remote users
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components on clients' computers
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner
Work closely with clients to understand their technology needs and provide solutions to improve their productivity
Provide guidance and training to clients on how to effectively use their technology
Maintain accurate records of all support activities and document solutions for future reference
Collaborate with other members of the IT team to develop and implement new technology solutions for clients
Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and advancements in order to provide the best support to clients
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security protocols, at all times
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role
Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
Microsoft 365/Office 365 and Azure cloud infrastructure
Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, MCDST, Office 365 and other relevant certifications are a plus
Must be able to pass a background check and obtain any necessary security clearances
