Job Location: Transaxle Manufacturing of America - Rock Hill, SC 29730 Salary Range: $65,000.00 Salary Summary
Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of the organization’s network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN systems, firewalls, and connectivity solutions. This role ensures reliable performance, system availability, and protection of company data through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementation of best practices. Also responsible for administration and support of Microsoft365 services and delivering cybersecurity awareness training to promote a secure and compliant user. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sets up, configures and supports internal and/or external company networks. Supports network/VPN tunnels with associated vendors or suppliers. Maintains the reliable connection of handheld scanners, desktops, laptops, and other data input points. Maintains reliable use of all wired and wireless network technologies for office support staff, including laptops, desktops, VOIP phones, company‑issued cell phones, and printers; and maintains the reliability of all wired and wireless technologies terminating at the IT/OT equipment transition. Maintains all network resources, including LAN and WAN networks, network data storage, server network uptime reliability, firewalls, VPN and endpoint security updates; assists and oversees server OS updates and all server hardware firmware needs. Evaluates network security needs to limit the loss of company data via accidental or malicious intent and provides solutions to counter internal and external threats. Enhances user security knowledge through continued cybersecurity training. Evaluates and recommends new detection tools to catch and eliminate security threats. Assists in the management of air‑gapped backups, onsite and cloud backups. Develops ideas to create a better and more stable network and presents them to IT leadership. Provides daily support of users as required through service requests. Serves as vendor liaison for hardware replacements and/or maintenance; updates documentation to record new equipment, new sites, and changes to computer and system configurations. Maintains network maps for both virtual and physical layouts. Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) from a four‑year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training. Two‑year associate degree in a networking or security field with one to two years of related field experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical Skills
Extensive knowledge of endpoint protection tools, Cisco and Fortinet devices, Microsoft365, Nutanix, Hyper‑V, Hybrid Windows Active Directory experience, and Linux server experience. Working knowledge of Windows‑based DNS, DHCP, WWW, FTP, SSL, Group Policies, AD users, distribution groups, and security groups. Working knowledge of Wi‑Fi and wired networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) infrastructures, including network interface cards, routers, firewalls, switches, VPN, and associated software solutions. Computer Skills
In‑depth understanding of hardware and network infrastructure; knowledge of business functions and processes; ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions; understanding of computer technology, methodology, and software/hardware life cycles; understanding of company applications, network environments, data resource management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints. Certificates and Licenses
No certifications are required, but Fortinet Network Security, Cisco Certified Network, CompTIA Network+, MTA, Hyper Converged (Nutanix), Microsoft and Office Suite certifications are a plus.
