Lead Linux Systems Administrator We are looking for a Lead Linux Systems Administrator to support our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. This team provides information security solutions enabling secure data transmission, the identification and prevention of unauthorized activity, completion of system security vulnerability assessments, and the development of effective security solutions. The team also delivers enterprise-level security services for networks, servers, desktops, and applications.
Responsibilities
Supporting the design of systems, mission architecture, and related hardware
Maintaining a working knowledge of system administration interdependencies within a Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment
Analyzing and troubleshooting complex issues involving server hardware, applications, and software integration
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
15+ years’ experience as a System Administrator on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. 5 years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a BS degree, totaling 20 years of system administration experience.
Demonstrated experience in Linux environments. Must possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Experience with Ubuntu and RHEL8.
DOD8570 compliance with minimum of IATLevel2 is required.
Experience in leading a technical team (system administrators, ISSEs, etc).
Ability to review mission performance to ensure proper execution of the mission. Must be able to analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.
Extensive collaboration with project personnel and partner/customer groups is required – strong communications skills are a must.
Providing input on contract deliverables as requested.
Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Bonus Skills
Experience with AWS Cloud Environments.
