Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with 5+ years' experience managing network infrastructure technology in the energy industry. Experience in project management and an understanding of how projects are run. We are seeking professionals who can resolve problems in a complex and enterprise environment. Carries out moderately complex information systems and/or information technology tasks within more than one discipline, such as PC support, server support, network support as well as telecommunications, and infrastructure administration, analysis, engineering, and design.
Responsibilities:
Monitors and supports the information technology and systems infrastructures
Conducts complex analysis including planning, designing, and evaluating a variety of information technology tools
Manage, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the current network infrastructure including remote sites
Serves as the backup to respond to user requests for system needs and upgrades or handles requests that are more complex
Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems in an efficient manner with little to no supervision
Implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters
Administers, runs tests on, and maintains operating system and related software
Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs recoveries
Education, Experience, and Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years of IT experience in Networking Enterprise Environments
Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls
Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls
Advanced knowledge of IPsec tunnels
Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure
Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
Familiarity with ITIL concepts
