Description
Responsible for developing, modifying, and executing software test plans, test scenarios, defines and solves for test data needs, automated scripts, and programs for testing in order to ensure the outgoing software and technical products meet and exceed quality standards.
Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their root causes. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software engineers and product owners. May participate in the review of software design.

Essential Functions
50% Responsible for analyzing the requirements, operational problems, specifications and change requests. Produce test plans and test cases to determine presence and scope of potential code defects. Monitor accurate and thorough test cases, scripts and data with pre-determined results within specified scheduled dates. Perform test execution of all assigned test cases. Log defects in system. Research and provide technical support on operational/test system defects and propose solutions.
50% Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality is not compromised, new functionality is working as designed and recommends corrective action. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.

Education
Bachelor's Degree - Information Technology, Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience
3 years' Experience in a software development environment
In Lieu of Education: In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Proficient.
Knowledge of software test requirements and protocols, Proficient.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, Proficient.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems, Proficient.
Knowledge of wireless communications and network systems, Proficient.
Intermediate programming skills on a programming language, Proficient.
Familiarity with databases, Proficient.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products or equivalent, Proficient.
Attention to detail, Proficient.
