Course schedule July 2026, start date TBD (5-6 days per week x 2.5-3 weeks) Duration: 100 hours, in-person instruction at Healthcare Training & Career Consultants, Honolulu Course instruction provided by State approved Nurse Aide Training Program Work as a Resident Aide will commence following program completion at Hale O Meleana, Honolulu Final step will include Prometric Exam to obtain Certified Nurse Aide status.
The Position: Resident Aides provide quality care and services for residents to include personal care and activities of daily living. Responsibilities include:
Assist residents with their physical needs to include transporting, feeding, toileting, personal hygiene, and dressing. Monitor residents' condition and report changes to Resident Care Manager. Housekeeping duties as assigned: dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, and re-stocking items. Assist resident with scheduled activities and appointments. Review weekly care plans and monitor for updates.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent / Minimum age of 18. Satisfactory completion of Nurse Aide Program preferred Certified (CNA) preferred. Experience in an environmental services or customer service position in healthcare setting preferred.
