Job Description Associate Business Analyst (46046) – Springfield, IL – Full‑time The LRS Retirement Solutions Group is seeking an Associate Business Analyst in Springfield, Illinois to support the increasing number of customers implementing our PensionGold software. Our company has been the leading provider of pension administration software and retirement services since 1987. We develop and implement pension administration software for retirement systems in the defined benefits market using Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 tools. The Product Support team is responsible for daily analysis and support of software products related to pension administration. Serve as a customer‑facing member of the Product Support team and primary support contact for customers assigned by the Team Lead. Gain a thorough understanding of the PensionGold software and how customers use it for pension administration. Understand customers’ business practices to document, analyze and resolve reported software issues and defects. Translate customers’ new business needs into requirements that developers and product support staff can understand. Develop detailed design documents for product enhancements or changes to meet customer requirements or resolve product defects. Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration between business processes and the product’s user interface. Test software changes and validate that they meet customers’ business requirements. Manage customers’ problem incident reports, product support requests and software. Learn to use our business process modeler tool to read and understand PensionGold business processes and assist in troubleshooting or researching product support requests. You will be based at our corporate headquarters in Springfield, Illinois. This role offers a base salary, eligibility for overtime pay, and opportunities for career advancement. Qualifications One year of experience performing analysis and documentation of requirements in a business environment or equivalent coursework. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and collaborate with team members. Aptitude for math, numerical data, and logic‑based problem solving. Dependable, capable of taking ownership of assigned customers, and able to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities. Performance Objectives Within the first 30 days – learn the PensionGold software functionality and verbally demonstrate this understanding. Within the first 60 days – acquire a comprehensive understanding of the Product Support team’s procedures and operations, and read and utilize problem incident reports (PIRs). Within the first 90 days – demonstrate a high‑level understanding of the PensionGold database model and be able to access data using SQL. Within the first 6 months – effectively use Microsoft Team Foundation Server and SSMS while working with customer PIRs; be assigned a customer to support and analyze new software problems reported by the customer. Experience with software development, customer support, and SQL will make you a stronger candidate. You must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer. Visa sponsorships are not available for this position. Salary range: $50,000–$60,000 annually plus paid overtime. Salary will vary depending on experience.
